Design Thinking Canvas for projects and teams
Develop innovation projects with the Design Thinking Canvas
The canvas or board is one of the resources that many methodologies use as a tool to support the construction and organization of practically any project.
In the process of Design Thinking, which consists of several stages, we use a series of support boards, such as the Persona, Customer Journey Map, Empathy Map, among many others.
These boards have been developed by professionals who have done their bit to contribute to the community and to the learning processes of multiple disciplines such as Lean Startup, Scrum, to name just a couple.
The Design Thinking Canvas
In order to facilitate my workshops, I developed the Design Thinking Canvas a few years ago, a board that groups several boards and is based on the model of the Double Diamond developed by the Design Council.
The main idea of this initiative is to be able to work on a single space that allows us to have an overview of the project being developed. This is important because we know that Design Thinking is an iterative process and not necessarily linear, which means that we can and should always look back and have the ability to modify steps that we have already taken. It supports the team not to lose focus and always keep in mind the results of each stage.
The canvas includes a brief guide of how to use it.
